A Wardrobe Ethereal

The “Grimm’s Fairy Tale” art exhibition was put on by the theatre students at the University of Guelph, who were inspired by fairy tales. Princesses, magic, and flowers have been childhood interests of mine that continue to inspire my work. Coincidentally, these elements are especially prominent in classic fairytales. This piece reflects my eternal fascination with princesses, nature, and the magic behind it.

Every fairytale has elements of good and evil. My installation highlights the role of nature in classic fairytales and how good and evil are represented within nature. Where flowers are typically associated with good, and storms and lighting with evil; the installation tells a story through the projections on the on to the dress.

Dress: self-made
Utilized Millumin software to project various projections on to dress and backdrop.
